Full Potential. When you hear these two words together, does it make you shirk? Kind of like, an ick feeling? Have you considered that ick feeling might be telling us that our conditioned notion of full potential is distorted and missing the mark? This week, I bring in a touch of ancient understanding around full potential in this week's meditation.
Personal time. Something we say we want the most of, yet, avoid it almost more than anything. How come? I reflect in this week's leadership meditation.
Resistance. When we feel resistance, what do we do? Do we fight it, embrace it, suppress it, confront it, get mad at it? Resistance is misunderstood, and this week, I take some time to befriend it once again.
Forgiveness is the next great wellness trend? Listen to this week’s leadership meditation as we touch on this.
Softness. It’s what’s required for growth. It’s only to bending to hardness does hardness do what it needs to do for your growth. It’s only when we try to fight hard with hard do things break. All things in nature have to give way to nature to survive and grow, or, nature will break them.
Knowing versus knowledge. One of the hardest things to do in today's data-driven world is to rely on knowing over accumulated knowledge via data and information. I reflect on this, this week in the Monday Leadership Meditation.
SERVICE. How does this serve me? How does this serve us? With any major decision, and even down to daily mundane decisions, these are the two most important questions I ask myself. The key is that, in isolation, neither question matters. Together, is where I find my direction. Come listen as I discuss in this week’s leadership meditation.
CORRESPONDENCE. We are what we see. Like any law of physics, this one is no different as it plays right into cause and effect. As it matters to personal, professional or organizational leadership and vision, this concept of reflection is critical to understand if morale, trust or job satisfaction are low. Things are mere reflections. What makes them good or bad are wholly influenced by their inputs. Let’s explore more now.
FREEDOM. My favorite line from any movie is this one word - when William Wallace hurls the word from the abyss of his soul as they take his life. Intense. But, what was he fighting for? The freedom he was shouting at the last moment of his life? We talk a lot about freedom these days: personal freedom, time freedom, financial freedom, freedom this, freedom that. These freedoms have nothing to do with the type of freedom we really want, the same freedom people like William Wallace was willing to give his life up for. Let’s think more about this now - listen here.
The most important all of the lifestyle and mindset changes I’ve made in my life, and now teach people about, are around mindfulness, meditation and breathing. There’s an abundance of evidence these days supporting these activities, which has been great to see. They key, though, is consistency, and practice. One-time of anything has little or no change. One-time of anything over many days added up, has profound changes when you look back and connect the dots. This week, I discuss my personal mindfulness and breathing practice. Read now.
IMPERMANENCE. Sounds philosophical, doesn’t it? Big word; deep meaning. Funny thing is, it’s no more basic than taking a breath to live, or bite of food for energy. It gets overcomplicated, and doesn’t need to be. It’s in its simplicity that there lies the power. Come listen as we unpack this concept.
EGO. Big word for such few letters - what is it's purpose? Is it as evil as we make it out to be, or could it be there for a reason and is just misunderstood? This week I reflect on the notion of ego, and give some thoughts around what could really be going on with this word what we could better understand as we seek to make better our own lives. #mindset #reflection #meditation
UNDERSTANDING. It's not knowledge, it's deeper. It's where wisdom seems to live, and is the same place that produces peace and harmony. What is it about understanding that we're asked to embrace? Listen now.

PRESENCE. Something we know we want, yet struggle to capture. How come? It may start with this word ‘capture’ as a root of why not. Let’s explore further now.
SPACE. It’s all around, and yet, maybe the most understood of all of our resources. A resource? Without space, what can grow. Let’s explore further now.
FOCUS. It’s a powerful word. What kinds of synonyms come to mind when you think of the word focus? Maybe things like ‘hard-work’ ‘dedication’ ‘commitment’ ‘attention’ ‘what I wish I did more of’? In this week’s leadership manifesto, I change the two-word phrase of ‘focus on’ to another two word phrase, with ‘focus’ as one of the words, that may cause a complete mindset shift on the word focus for you, and seeing how we could be using it in our lives today in more effortless and meaningful way. Listen now.
“What the hell is happening?” “When will the punches stop?” “How do I take control of this thing?” These are the questions I was asking myself when my body started revolting. Don’t take it from me, just look at the picture of this blog post of psoriasis juxtaposed on my stab wound scar. This week, I touch on my journey of diet and how it had potentially the single biggest impact on my mindset, and how it changed my mind through the clarity I received through cleaner eating. Read on…
So many tid-bits of 'do this, not that' or 'this is the way' or 'read me, read me' out there today. It's confusing, isn't it? I learned a valuable lesson 5-years back that completely changed the trajectory from where I was and where I am now with myself. And the insight is simple, yet powerful, and think if you're able to understand what it means for you, the only 'tid-bit' you'll subscribe to is the one you thoughtfully, and confidently develop for yourself. Listen now.
ENERGY is not owned or meant to be hoarded - it's meant to be given away. When we say 'I need more energy' have you ever considered you might have too much of a certain energy built up in your system? Maybe it's 'I need to give away more energy' - let's think about this notion this week in this Monday's Manifesto. Listen now...
